Volleyball Tournaments 2004

Where we play

In 2004 we took part in Brentwood (veterans) , Cambridge (mixed), Gloucester (men & mixed) & Poole (men & mixed). In 2005 we're aiming to enter these tournaments again plus Bath if we can send in the form soon enough.

Why not pick up the latest RULE BOOK, or look at our training section?

Poole Summer Tournament

Brentwood Veterans

26 June 2004, Brentwood Sports Centre. There will either be separate over 35 and over 40 competitions, or if there are fewer entries, there will be one competition with a handicapping system based on the ages of participants. One day, outside on grass, 6 a side, start (I believe) around 10am. It's less than an hour's drive from our area, that time on a Saturday morning. Entry costs are £20 per team.
Let Neil know if you're interested, since entries are meant to be in already!

Belgium

3-4 July 2004. 29th International Volleyball Tournament V.C. Spectrum Moerbeke-Waas v.z.w. (Belgium)
See website
£10 per person - plus transport approx £50 by car ferry. Need Friday afternoon to travel.

Weston-Super-Mare

Was 10-11 July 2004 (Provisional) - now (20/4/2004) officially cancelled. Lets talk about an unofficial Weston Tournament anyway!
Mixed Fours, beach rules, great fun, great weather.
£7 per person. This was oficially cancelled in 2003 - but for those few that ventured to W-S-M anyway, there was a small, unofficial tournament. From Vale we had Sophie, Stuart, Jem & Sara. We played well and frequently led the single set match by quite some margin, before handing it back to them on a plate later on. Milton Keynes were unbeaten with Layne attending and enjoying the sun.
We had fantastic weather, good camping at Sand Bay, great BBQ. This is two years of good fun at Weston, despite it being cancelled on one the years! More people should check this out - but don't spoil it.

Bath

17 & 18 July 2004. Indoor and outdoor games.
£10 per person. Extra £10 per person for camping. Website.

Cambridge

Cambridge 2004 31 July - 1 August 2004. Now much later in the year :-) More details, or Directions..

Guildford

Gloucester

14-15 August 2004. Another good one. Dowty Sports and Social Club, between Cheltenham and Gloucester. Disco - and skittles!
£7 per person. See Directions

Bristish Naturism

14-15 August 2004. A whole new meaning to matching team strip.
We have not been before - some of us hope to visit in 2004.
Bristish Naturism events

Asterix Kieldrecht, Belgium

Poole

28-30 August 2004. Poole is always good fun, 2002 was no exception - it was well attended. 2003 was great, despite tragic car accident during the event. Directions.
