Rudolf Steiner gave court time to their bench in the first set, eventually won by Vale, who also took the second against a stronger six. Rudolf Steiner at full strength took the third set as Vale made several changes. The crunch fourth set saw Vale go for height and match Rudolf Steiner to 12-14 and then collapse winning only 3 further points. A disappointing fifth set saw Vale unable once again to sideout and the divisional champions-elect ran out deserved winners.
